Signing out of old Roon Core Laptop

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

My old Laptop has crashed with Windows 10 PC repair issue. I can not get the operating system to reboot and log back into the old laptop. I purchased a new Laptop and can not sign into more than one device at at time. How do I sign out of the old Laptop, can this be done by Roon Support? Please help.

I believe the following steps should work:

  1. Start Roon on the new laptop
  2. When it starts, either:
    (a) don’t log in – restore from backup if you have one – see https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/migration
    (b) OR, if you don’t have a backup to restore from, do log in

Once that’s done either way, you should come to a screen that looks like this, where instead of “PIEDPIPER”, there will be the name of your old Core:

Click Unauthorize, and then your old Core should no longer be an issue.
