Since the Roon update cannot use Roon anymore from any device

since the Roon update i installed right before i have the same problem, cannot use Roon anymore from any device, even on the PC on wich core is running.

Hi,

The Roon @support team prefer one topic per customer’s issue… so they are able to track it and focus on each individual problem. hence I split out your topic.

In order for Roon’s @support team to better assist you, please provide a brief description of your current setup using this link as a guide.

Make sure to describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so they can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.

Hi @Joe_underscore,

As Carl suggested, please provide a brief description of your current setup using this link as a guide.

Is there any change after a reboot of the Core machine? If not, can you share a screenshot of what you’re seeing when you try to use Roon?

I am running the core on Windows10 PC ver. 1909, this PC is connected via Ethernet cable to my Internet router which is also a 4 port switch, to this router also an accesspoint is connected where i connect with my Macbook, iPad and Devialet Expert over WiFi. I have turned off Windows firewall which did not help.

I have made the update to build 536 today and after that i cannot connect to the roon core anymore from Macbook and iPad, even from my PC where the core is running i cannot connect to 127.0.0.1
The only way to start Roon app is on the core PC using connect to local core. On my Macbook i get 2 choices with same IP address both saying initializing…

i have added a screenshot from my core PC and from my remote Macbook

just to add, rebooted the core PC several times.

Hi @Joe_underscore,

Please see see our latest update on this here:

Hi @Joe_underscore,

We’ve posted another update here:

This should be resolved now. You might need to restart your Core and restart Roon on your remote devices, but after that things should be working for you. If you’re still running into any issues please let us know!

Hi Dylan,
yes, everything works fine again here, i have never seen such a perfect support before!
cheers
Joe
