Description of Issue

Since updating to 1.8 flac and MQA Tidal tracks now stream as AAC.

Tidal is set to High

I have already reinstalled the Roon Core Software and the 1.8 update. I have logged out of Tidal and logged back in although I don’t understand why I seem to have two versions of Roon. Is the 1.0 the core and the 1.8 the remote?

Also, even though I have a lifetime membership does Roon think I do not have a subscription?

That is wrong.

It should be Master.

If it is not available for you to choose from, you need to logout Tidal from Roon. Then:

  • Exit out of Roon/Roon Server
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location - Database\Registry\Core
  • Locate your tidal_account file and delete it
  • Try to start Roon again
