My library is about 9,000 Qobuz albums and 4,500 of my own FLAC CD rips. Total 168,000 tracks.
I noticed if I let backups continue to apply to the same backup folder that the size balloons within 3 increments to about 20GB.
If I do a manual backup and specify a new backup folder, for what is presumably a complete backup, the size is only 5GB.
How does it balloon so much if the basic fresh backup size is 5GB and I’ve made maybe 100 changes since that I could record in a sub-1MB csv file? Isn’t it supposed to only be recording changes since the previous backup, if one already exists in the folder?
The 5GB backup is a complete backup yes? Must I just manually send it to a new folder every time? Thanks.
