Description of Issue

I have NO problems playing Tidal or streaming from my NAS to any of my SONO’s speakers, but constant skipping when destination is Platin Stereo Hub.
When skipping, it tells me the above (Tidal loading slow / audio file loading slow), but the only thing I change is the destination, so I find it hard to believe it’s the input that is failing…

How should I go about eliminating this problem that makes my setup pretty useless. ?

Is there some kind of debugging I can enable in the ROCK and see more details on what is happening ?

Best regards, Carsten

Try plugging it in with ethernet and see if that makes a difference.

Unfortunately a Platin Stereo Hub (Roon Ready) does not have ethernet.

But you think the problem could lie in connection to Platin Hub even though the error-messages mentions the source ?

I there any debug info I can enable somewhere ?

Hi @Carsten_Hess,

Thank you for your patience. The team has investigated available diagnostics from your ROCK.

We can confirm there are errors communicating with the Platin endpoint. Specifically, the WiFi connection is lagging despite Roon’s prebuffer, and the device itself occasionally disappears, although without any cycle. There are additional dropouts with at least one Roon Remote, and network request failures on the part of the ROCK when attempting to reach our servers.

We have several questions to help pinpoint the issue:

  1. MQA content seems to generate this error most in diagnostics. What happens if you play low-quality content from Tidal?
  2. Disable any DSP you might have enabled on this Zone. Do you still encounter the issue?
  3. What is your network hardware, and to what have you hardwired your ROCK? If you have any managed switches, try removing them.

We’ll troubleshoot further from there. Thank you again!
