Hey @Marc2025,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please try going to TIDAL’s settings on your Roon Remote and click the “Sync Library Now” button?

Additionally, please bring your Roon Server online so we can fetch diagnostics data and investigate the issue further.

Thanks!

Ok. I made a library sync in tidal settings of roon app and i let server run. Please tell me when you finished the analysis. Tuesday or later i’m not home for some time and have to turn off server off…

Hey @Marc2025,

Thanks for the update. From a fresh diganositc report, we can see that the core problem is that Roon’s TIDAL OAuth token refresh is being rejected with HTTP 401 Unauthorized by api.roonlabs.net/oauthcb/4/tidal/refresh. This is not a TIDAL-side issue per se. It’s Roon’s own OAuth callback endpoint rejecting the refresh request, which means Roon cannot re-authorize the TIDAL session on your behalf.

Roon keeps retrying the TIDAL token refresh every time it detects a network change, but every retry returns 401.

  • A brief network interruption at 17:38 causes HostUnreachable errors on top of the 401s.
  • The [broker/accounts] auth failure is persistent; it never recovers in the entire session.
The same pattern repeats in every session: TIDAL starts with credentials, immediately gets a 401 on token refresh, and stays stuck in UnknownError for the entire run.

Are you running into the same issues after re-syncing your account? If so, it may be worth checking any active firewalls or third-party antivirus software that may be active within your local setup.

We’ll be monitoring for your reply, thank you Marc :folded_hands:

I synced a few days ago and will try again when I’m back from holiday. Ido not have an active firewall except the standard prtection offered by Asus TUF AX-6000. Windows forewall is deactivated as far as I remember. Thanks for help…

I will post when i’m back

@Marc2025 ,

We also had a few other users experiencing the same issue.

We’ve raised an internal bug report and will work through this.

Once it’s resolved the mention of it will be in release notes.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Thank you.

Thanks for understanding.

Stay tuned!
