· Something’s not working in the Roon interface (buttons, displays, lyrics, etc.)
Describe the issue
Social sharing feature stopped working on certain albums and tracks. Previously, I could share to social from any track/album. Now it appears that sharing is limited to material from streaming services or local files that appear in one of the CD databases. However, the shared to social feature has disappeared from the menu for any tracks that I’ve created myself or collected live music.
Describe your network setup
Latest ROCK version on an Intel NUC.

The tracks / releases are unidentified in Roon, which means there is no metadata to share. This is the reason there is no share button – it’s nothing to do with self-created or live music.
Pretty sure that’s not it, because (1) there is metadata and it displays in every view on Roon and (2) it worked before the latest update, but now seems deprecated.

I shared one in the opening post. Note that it’s missing in your screenshot too. “Share” should be below “Add to Tag” in the context menu. For example:
What @mjw is trying to establish is if that album is identified or unidentified in Roon.
In @mjw’s screenshot (from a PC or tablet, not a phone) one can see it is “unidentified”. Unfortunately in your screenshot (from a small screen device) it’s not visible.
Are you able to screenshot from a PC/Mac/Tablet with a large screen?
Thanks, Carl, now I understand. It does appear that Roon changed something; previously it worked whether or not “Identified” so long as the files had metadata. This is a bummer for me as someone who has a ton of tagged music that is not in Roon’s database.
That’s unfortunate. And it didn’t used to be the case. You should realize that a lot of your users have large libraries that they’ve curated over decades and none of those things will be in your database ever.
