I’ve got up and runnning sofabaton with roon using HA integration, but I’ve seen you can control the server directly with a request method and similar, anyone had any luck?
In it’s day i used something similar to http:rock.local/1/poweroff to turnoff my NUC, but never managed to find the documentation and commands to run similar actions with my now nucleus
I’ve been controlling Roon from my Sofabaton for a while now. Using Home Assistant with the Roon integrations. Create actions to be triggered by webhooks, programm the webhooks in Sofabaton. Works great, very reliable.
@Jason_Lloyd I’ve moved your thread into the Tinkering category of the forum - it’s where those of us using Home Assistant or other forms of domotica tend to hang out…
Yep! I’ve managed to get it working and even though it’s a pain to have to use the phoneapp to get certain information (ID, keystroke, etc), as you say it works flawlessly
I’m even using roon to control the volume even though as I’m using an external dac >> I control the volume using roon directly to the roon ready preamp (cambrdige edge NQ) and control songs that area playing on an external DAC (R2R dac connected via XLR). Workis very well.
It would be cool if roon would let me set the volume of the edge on the DAC endpoint, asi if it was all one element, having a few more icons to choose from or able to upload would be great!
