As already pointed out

Apologies  Did not have the inclination to read the older posts.

No worries, it is just a few posts up and was already in response to the same claim you responded to

So I created an account but it’s still the same list. I searched for U2 and nothing. I searched for INXS and nothing. Don’t know what else I could try.

Well, some specific bands, or the two you like, may not be on the service. But that doesn’t mean that ā€žthere’s just a fewā€œ, either. Sure, there aren’t millions or thousands - complain to those missing artists. One of my favorite bands is listed, it depends.

During the recording of ā€œStandards liveā€ in Munich. I was sitting ON the stage beside the Keith Jarretts Piano. It’s bin kind of special.

1972, Pink Floyd at Symphony Hall, Atlanta. I was in high school at the time. Love my music at home via Roon, but nothing can beat the live atmosphere.

I agree, its being dragged out a bit now.

Just tell us its nugs.net so we can all be disappointed and move on with our lives :winking_face_with_tongue:

Probably a big rise in subscriptions plus tariff🄹.

Why would anyone be disappointed to finally get an opportunity to pay $20 a month to listen to live performances of the type who’d barely make the b-side cut by a handful of dad rock bands who might’ve been great 30 years ago ?

Try not to be so negative, its not good for anyone.

Peace and love.

How was any of that negative (or inaccurate) ?!?

Maybe the incomplete assessment of the content? It’s fine if that’s your opinion but it’s not really complete or accurate, and needlessly insulting.

Granted, for most people Nugs won’t be a permanent subscription, but surely it’s better to be available than not. I’d pay for few months for Sonic Youth live concerts, for instance.

Calling SY a dad’s rock band from 30 years ago is somewhat accurate chronology but it’s also akin to calling all the classical metadata in Roon a pointless exercise of outdated mummy music from hundreds of years ago that nobody needs and wastes my money. That would new a tad negative, no? Just like calling all new pop music in Roon useless autotune crap would be, and so on, I’m sure I can find an insult for literally anything, and it would turn the forum to hell if everyone did that.

Sonic youth? I’d watch them. my favourite new find. Maybe nugs music will be free under Roon? Like radio stations are.

It’s not an extensive collection, 12 concerts as far as I can tell (and after all there’s a big free SY live archive on the SY site, plus lots on YouTube), but some are seminal like CBGB 1988 and would be worth to me subscribing for a while. Though they seem mostly audio (but the one 2007 Daydream Nation video alone would be worth a month). They also have downloads to purchase.

Though I wouldn’t expect video in Roon, but who knows.

Must be nice to discover the wonders anew

I doubt it

Of the biggest grossing tours of the last three decade, Nugs has two acts: Springsteen and Metallica, with an unspecified and undated number of Rolling Stones videos. That isn’t opinion, that’s hard fact, and they’re asking twice the price of a Spotify subscription for access.

It’s great that they’ve found a niche, that it’s such a small niche is by no fault of their own, and while I’m entirely in favour of Coldplay, U2, and Ed Sheeran being relegated to the dustbin of history, and naturally don’t think that every Taylor Swift performance merits archiving, I feel like calling it underwhelming and dad rock is very different from calling classical metadata a pointless exercise in cataloguing mom music from 100 years ago… happy to change my mind once Grateful Shred concerts become a 50 billion dollar a year market, though

I don’t need to explain, you know what i was picking up on.

I get it, you are a cool kid and i am an old man, but love is universal!

Who cares about the largest grossing tour crap. (See, I can do it too, it’s easy)

It’s an opinion that this matters

I don’t.

None of the music I listened to in the past 50 years is.

Whatever the case, it’s better to have Nugs than not, I fail to see what your problem is. Don’t use it if you don’t like it (just like I don’t use any classical stuff) and be happy that it’s there for those who do.
