Songs skip without playing and result in error on two Roon accounts (ref#IPFLWC)

Does the device show up at all in Roon Settings -> Audio?

· Yes, it shows up there, but it isn't Enabled

Does the "Enable" button unlock the Zone?

· I can Enable the Zone, but the Zone disappears

Does the device play audio from another source when using the same connection?

· The device has no problems with another audio source

Is the device using the latest firmware as per the manufacturer?

· Firmware is up-to-date but the issue remains

What are the make and model of the affected audio device(s) and the connection type?

· Meridian

I have two Roon accounts at two different addresses. The same problem happens at both. When I try to play a song, nothing plays, and it keeps skipping to the next song on the album but eventually plays nothing and says error. I have looked at everything possible with the system and consulted experts. Everything else (tv, streaming, etc) works fine. Please advise.

I think the next step here is to enable some diagnostics on your account so our technical staff can get some more insight into what’s going on here.

However, before I enable this feature, I’d like to ask for your help ensuring we gather the right information.

First, can you please reproduce the issue once more and note the time at which the error occurs. Then respond here with that time, and I’ll make sure we review the diagnostics related to that timestamp.

We can see that one of your RoonServer instances is still running build 1544. This is the current active server from which we’re attempting to gather diagnostics, and we’ll need to ensure it’s running the latest version. Please update in Roon Settings at your convenience.

Does this occur with both local and streaming content at both locations?

Is the any error presented in Roon when you encountered dropouts or song skipping?

Does this occur with different file formats?

We’ll watch for your response. Please provide as much information as possible relevant to the above questions to expedite our troubleshooting. Automatic diagnostics will reach our servers next time you login to Roon, and we’ll be more thoroughly equipped to troubleshoot.
