Sonority Design speaker stands - astounding!

With many thanks to fellow Roon user Simon

I’ve now got these under my speakers

Initial thoughts ‘good’ to ‘interesting’ and ‘would I buy them?’
Definitely impact the sound, hmmm

After proper setup; distance (wrong by 5cm), toe in etc. things were sounding better - but my imagination?

Frankly, getting my speakers away from their (extremely) critical position, onto the stands in the same place, then taking them off again was not happening, sooo

Stop the wobble, easy and repeatable

And blimey! The SQ improvement is significant and easily/quickly comparable

I’d say better than serious cable/amp/source
Level of improvement
Seemingly unlikely (based on ‘hold your boxes rigidly’) but it works

Stunned, but happy

Congratulations on your new purchase Andrew.
Not sure I could get them past the WAF challenge in my house.

When I brought my new speakers home last summer (Splendor D7.2) I also brought home a set of Isoacoustics Gaia feet for them. I said to the wife if she could not hear any improvement then we would return them (not the speakers, as she had already trialed those for a weekend). They never did go back.

I am sure your new setup will sound stunning.

Yes, my friend did the same - kept the Gaia’s :+1:

Andy, delighted to hear that you have found they were worth the drive, and also entirely delighted that they have gone to a good home, which was my main wish for them.

It was also good to spend some time listening with you and discussing hi-fi with you when you visited, although I fear my enthusiasm for the trials of system optimisation these days falls well short of yours

Simon - thinly veiled accusations of nerdy obsession there
Though every word true :+1:

At least you’re not calling me Shirley…

Thanks again - great to meet you, plus lovely drive down to a lovely place
