Sonos arc ultra does not appear

My new Nucleus One is great. My only question is why, in my Audio section, my Sonos Arc Ultra does not appear in the Roon Tested category.

It was there when I was using a 2018 Mac mini but nowhere to be found on the Nuc One.

Sonos streaming is there, but as memory serves, Roon streaming sounded better.

Is your Arc Ultra not there in Settings>Audio>Other network devices? Mine is. You’d want to select Sonos streaming. That’s the best available, at 24-bit, 44.1/48kHz. Audio is sent as FLAC.

Sonos has never been Roon Ready or had support for RAAT.

The interface evidently uses UPnP, and also Sonos player/controller transport controls don’t work consistently against the Roon server.

OK, Thanks. I keep hoping to see a Roon Bridge app in tvOS, but I guess it ain’t happening.

If it did it would be an app on the Apple TV, which is quite a different matter. The Arc Ultra simply plays whatever TV audio it’s sent over HDMI-eARC. To play to it directly over the network from Roon it’s Sonos Streaming.
