My sonos connect gen 2 not playing 24/48 natively like it was yesterday now everything he plays 16/48 can you fix software as it was before update

Thanks for writing in!

Can you please access your Device Settings>Device Setup>Advanced Settings on your sonos zone and confirm you have the proper format selected on the device? Roon will cater to the playback limits of the zone itself, so it could be that your sonos have been reset to a lower resolution playback by mistake.

If that’s looking good, next I’d safely stop your Roon Server from running, and then reboot both your server machine, sono devices, as well as your router, and see if the same issue persists.

Are you connecting with Airplay or Sonos protocol?

All my Sonos devices still have 24 bits and 16 bit options under Advanced Settings

Yes it was fine yesterday today is just 16 bit

I am just an end user like yourself who owns Sonos gear.

I would suggest to Reboot your Roon server and your Sonos kit.
This can sometimes happen and I have checked all mine and the 24 bit options are still there.

Can you send a screenshot of the Advanced audio settings? Like this

Also this this a Sonos 1 device and not S2?

Have you tried rebooting Room server and power cycling the Sonos Connect?

If that doesn’t change anything, then that might suggest that Roon has changed something

Ill try to reset it now okay all devices went through power cycle snd still no change

A reboot is one of the things that support will want, so good that you have tried it.

hello so i have power cycle both devices and unfortunately still the same issue no advance options in sonos connect format selection disapeared please help !!!

Sonos one devices where only 16 bit capable i thought?

Its gen 2 but is on sonos 1 app

Is the firmware up to date? Maybe Roons seeing it as an s1 device and not s2.

its just happened after updating soon software Roon Team please fix it

so it might be problem wit latest firmware 11.15 S1 im trying to find out if possible to downgrade to 11.14 when the option for 24bit was available …anyone out there have the same problem///
