· I just upgraded to Roon 2.70 and now none of the Sonos speakers shows up. I deleted and reinstalled Sonos, rebooted the modem and the computer but to no effect. Frankly I am snowed by the tech level of your solution procedures. I have been using Roon happily for maybe two years or more. but I am baffled;ed that a simple upgrade should reek such havoc.
Are these speakers visible via Airplay outside Roon on this Mac, or in other software?
If so, you’ll first need to ensure that the Mac still has permissions toggled for Roon to access the network. This will be under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local network.
Diagnostics show Roon saw a Sonos Five and two Roams as of yesterday. Their device discovery announcements abruptly stop after a restart, so mDNS traffic is not reaching Roon from these Sonos endpoints, and vice versa. They’re on the same subnet to which Roon is currently connected, so you’ll probably not need to tinker with any hardware here, but make sure multicast forwarding is enabled in your Netgear router.
