Windows 10/Roon version 1.8 build 790

Chord Dave via USB
The sound just stops and I have to re-boot HQPlayer and Roon. This happens intermittently. I use other apps on my PC whilst listening to Roon. Is this something to do with it perhaps? Sometimes when I start using Google I get bad feedback and distortion. This is a very new high spec perfectly working PC so it must be software related. Roon seems to be losing the connection with HQplayer. Usually when listening to Tidal through Roon but not when listening to radio stations.
Disabling Chord Dave ansio in Roon seemed to solve the problem but it still cut out. I have a registered version of HQPlayer. I’ll enable the WASPI driver and see what happens. Thank you for your help.
Try this first but if that doesn’t work then uninstall the Chord drivers completely (both ASIO and WASAPI) , then reboot and then just use the standard native Windows UAC2 driver (should work with Dave).
Some people have found the native Windows UAC2 driver more reliable than the Chord drivers.
I had "systems output-audio will play out of default device’ wrongly enabled in Roon. I have disabled this and everything else and now no random stops of music at all. Common sense would say that once you were playing music successfully through HQPlayer then everything else would be disabled and wouldn’t intrude but obviously not! I know I am a naive newbie but that would be the logical things to happen. Hey ho. Anyway all sorted. Now I can immerse myself in musical heaven! Thank you again for your help again. You pointed me in the right direction of the problem.
