Sound Quality difference when DSP is engaged

I have been using Roon DSP for a while (specially PEQ and Headroom feature) and have noticed that there is a difference in SQ when DSP is engaged. I find the sound stage slightly collapses and there is a slight reduction in dynamics. I have ensured the volume level is maintained between the two scenarios. My Intel NUC has enough processing power.
I wonder if any Roon users have noticed this and would love to hear their feedback. I have a PS Audio DSJ as Roon endpoint.
Thanks

I agree with you which is why I don’t use it most of the time (a disappointment as I like the PEQ feature). I noted the same in this thread where you can find others’ take on Roon’s DSP.
