Sounds iOS different to Android?

Hello everyone,

Has anyone had any experience with sound differences when using Roon on iOS or Roon on Android?

I use the Roon app only as a WLAN-connected control unit.
The music data stream runs via LAN from the router to ROCK.

When using Roon on iPad (iOS) as a control unit, the playback seems better.
I cannot logically explain the phenomenon.

Many thanks for any helpful tips.
Andreas

Been there, done that, but no, not a bit (pun intended).

Fallible senses and biased perception are the only realistic explanation, really.

But anyway, what’s the endpoint and connection to it?
Post a screen shot of your signal path!

The mobile apps are only remote controls and have absolutely zero to do with anything that is related to streaming or sound.

Dear @Marin_Weigel, dear @Suedkiez,

Thank you for your responses.

We conducted a blind test and found that our perception was apparently influenced by preconceptions.
The test did not statistically prove any difference in sound when using Android or iOS remote apps.

This was an interesting experience in the field of psychoacoustics, which we would like to share with the community with a twinkle.

Best regards,
Andi
