The Persuaders blu ray box set is recommended. There’s a really good book with it that’s most interesting.
PQ is of the highest quality.
A great series where TC is continually improvising and throwing in some of his trademark lines.
Few series have had such high production values as this series

La Plane’te Sauvage (1973)
There are some killer tracks on this & whilst the tracks (as per review) are very short, musically they don’t especially need to be fleshed out to be an enjoyable listen. This has been one of those often sampled albums in the hip hop world.
This is a bit of a psychedelic number & is longer than the bulk of other tracks.
Generique
This has a ‘loungey’ vibe at just under 50secs. Lovely!
Ten Et Tiwa Dorment
Planete Sauvage is so awesome.

La Ragazza Dalla Pelle di Luna (1970)
Film shot in Seychelles with lead actress Zeudi Araya, who would later feature in the Italian version of Playboy.

John Carpenter has been posted by many here - his music is unmistakable and almost always ‘epic’. This is one of those soundtracks that will test your speakers!
And perhaps his most epic theme I think has been missed. It’s the title track on this album:
John Carpenter (& Jim Lang)
In The Mouth of Madness (1995)
In The Mouth Of Madness (Trailor)
In The Mouth Of Madness (Live 2016)
Nora Orlandi (Conductor - Paolo Ormi)
Lo Strano Vizio Dell Signora Wardh (1970)
(Starring - Edwige Fenech)
Luis Bacalov
L’Amica (1969)/La Supertestimone (1971)
A ‘typical’ sounding 2 soundtrack disc & I’d not suggest a highlight in Luis’ amazing career. However, it’s decent in the realm of ‘easy listening’, with the usual light bossa, some jazzy moments & a few vocal tracks featuring Edda Dell’Orso (not enough)
One of the tracks with Edda’s vocals

They Live
Not a great soundtrack; plays mostly like a series of movie effects.

Coming to LA (Live 2016)
But what a fun film it is.
Just discussing watching this and the Blade series over Christmas with my Son while he is home
Great choices - make the most if it. My son isn’t about - he’s in the US. We’d be watching the Doctor Who specials. I’ll watch last nights (UK time) Christmas Eve special sometime today. I’ve been rather excited as I thought the prior 3 episodes were back to old form.
We watched and enjoyed it a couple of hours ago. My son went upstairs as he and his girlfriend have been watching the recent episodes together, and he didn’t want to get in trouble
That’s gold mate - make the most of your time together.
I’ve not even met my son’s gf. They’ve only been going out for roughly a month or so. She seems lovely - similar pathways in life. He works with her, although from my understanding, in the same department, but not office space. Not sure how that will end. My son’s on a two year contract which is split year to year. He has a work visa, but only for his current employment.

Prince of Darkness (1987)
This movie received very mixed reviews upon its release, to the point you’d likely say it was almost universally maligned. However, retrospectively it’s now considered one of his most influencial and terrifying. And of course Donald Pleasence is back (& Alice Cooper is an addition).
In the years since its release, the analysis of the film has been much more positive. When Carpenter’s twenty feature films are ranked — and they’re ranked often — Prince of Darkness regularly appears in the top half. (Rufus Hickok - October 13, 2023)

Pino Donaggio - composer
Brian De Palma - director/screenwriter
Nancy Allen - actress
Dressed to Kill in particular seems to get strong reviews for the score, as per 5/5 allmusic. I find both of these to be on the bland side and far from a great listen.

I’ve not posted this Savina album previously:
Carlo Savina
Nude…Si Muore (1968)
Nightmare Titoli (vocals Rose Brennan whom I’m not familiar with other than this.) This is a great track typical of the time - I don’t think the rest stack ups to the opener.
I’ve not posted this album previously:
Bixio, Frizzi, Tempera
Sette Note In Nero (1997)
Sette Note In Nero
I know I’ve not posted this previously, but assumed it had been - I don’t see it so…
Ron Grainer
The Omega Man (1971)
Australian composer that moved to the UK to pursue his musical career best known for Doctor Who & The Prisoner themes - two of my all time fav tv series).
Listeners who don’t appreciate '70s pop or lounge styles may not enjoy the combination of styles The Omega Man presents, but no one can deny that Grainer has created a tight, skillfully arranged score that is packed to the gills with memorable melodies. As a result, The Omega Man is an ideal soundtrack choice for anyone who enjoys both film scores and lounge music. (allmusic)
Well I do like lounge styles, however, I’m just not convinced this is a great soundtrack without the movie alongside it. In it’s context it’s certainly apt.
Opening Credits
This movie was rather scary/suspenseful when I was a kiddo.
Where have all the people gone
The main melody totally reminds me of another theme starting @ 20sec, until it branches out.
