Spotify as streaming service in HQPlayer?

I’m not sure a lot of people are aware of this. By lossy Atmos I mean Apple Music and Tidal

at the moment we can’t stream the lossless Atmos you find on Bluray

Interesting discussion. And you’re correct, high resolution with lower sound quality is a real problem.
There are other, however, reasons to avoid Spotify.
Qobuz are said to pay artists 6 times what Spotify pay per stream.
The number of artists protesting against Spotify, its owner, his business practises and some of his investments is telling. And then there’s the bankrolling of the likes of Rogan…
Personally, I’m happy to pay a premium if more of the money makes it way to the most important people in the chain - the musicians. Especially when the cost of access to such a vast library of music is relatively small.

Well in that case, the artists, labels and content owner should favour Qobuz and should not upload inferior quality in my opinion? If they thus continue to do that, I see no reason at all to continue to sponsor a streaming service that do not favour the best quality, but instead sign the streaming service I have the most use for, i.e. sufficient quality and the largest catalogue. That is irrespective the kick-back to the industry. The behavior drives disrespect from the customer and will perhaps drive the next tech to rip music for free. As it have done for years and years in cycles. The industry does not seem to learn and once a new tech platform is in place and money roll in, it is business as usual again. Max profit for lowest cost. Until someone get pssd-off and challenge the system again. I mean sending albums today with low cost VPN is not a risky business is it? You almost pay the VPN by not using any streaming service?
