First post here. I discovered RoPieee a few weeks ago and am quite satisfied with it since!
Today I read about another round of changes to the Spotify Web-API. Will this have impact on the Spotify Connect functionality within RoPieee?

Well, Spotify changing stuff is basically an on-going ‘thing’. RoPieee uses the open source Librespot project, and the people involved are always rather quick in dealing with those issues.
So no guarantees, but in general these changes you point to don’t make me nervous
