I subscribed to a month of Spotify this evening (usually switch months between different services)… they have this Song DNA feature which looks rather interesting - screenshot below.
My most loved feature/flow of Roon is the ‘organic discovery’ of going through who was behind the track. Looks like Spotify have a nice implementation. The ‘sampled in’ part was interesting as well. I guess they have audio signatures of tracks to easily detect this with their compute power.
(Its still a very much overwhelming service… I was using for around 40 minutes, but it feels like a wave of all the music I need to listen to. A constant barrage. It made me realise why I left in the first place, I’ll never hear all the music I’d love in my lifetime, so forget the chase. And still no light mode. But if one can resist the urge of what its pushing at you… maybe this and Plexamp in the future???)
