Stable release 383 (2019/11/17)

Hi,

I just pushed out release 383.

Nothing fancy pancy this time, just a maintenance release that addresses a few bugs.
The changelog is here:

  • FIX: split Audiophonics support for 4.14 and 4.19 kernels
  • FIX: saving something in ‘advanced’ might kill XL
  • IMPROV: update XL components
  • IMPROV: bump Linux kernel for Pi 4

As always you can find everything on www.ropieee.org

Enjoy!

Totally right! Very responsive and the updates in short cycle shows dedication and perfection. Great solution!

PS: I donated some weeks ago

I wondered why my little Pi4 was flashing at me! Thought it was winking :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thanks so much

Any other ropieee users update to Roon 1.7 yet, and want to share their results? Any reason to hold off on taking the 1.7 update if you rely on RoPieee as one of your “major” Roon endpoints?

I’m using Roon ROCK 1.7 with several RoPieee endpoints without any problem.

No issues with 1.7, whether RPI3 or RPI4, displays, or otherwise.

Folks - I upgraded to 1.7 last night (21/11) and then created my first raspberry pi endpoint today using RoPieee 383 on a HiFIBerry Amp2 HAT as I have some old analogue speakers to recycle.
Complete success
One minor point: the hostname / machine name entered into the RoPieee General tab asks for the right format but it’s no clear that spaces nor underscores (_) are permitted.
