If you are using Roon, please use Auto sleep setting in Roon.
If you are referring to the Lumin app Idle Sleep setting, its minimum is 15 minutes (instead of 5).
Oddly enough It was a because a display wasn’t configured. As soon as I configured the display, it turned off.
I don’t if it is me or something peculiar in my setup, but everytime I do a Roon Core update, my Lumin remains on and does not go into standby mode. I have autostandby set, I have nothing in the queue, I set the display to another device, and still my Lumin says “Roon Ready with the Circle on”.
I have reproduced this issue with the latest Roon on Windows.
This is not a bug from Lumin side because Roon auto standby is issued by Roon Server.
I have experimentally found that Roon Server auto standby occurs only after it plays something then becomes idle / paused. If you manually restart Roon Server and do not play anything, it does not auto standby, just like what you experienced with Roon Server update.
This is not necessarily a bug if Roon is designed to have a trigger condition of “idle after playback”.
If you disagree with this behavior and you really want to, you could file a feature change request to Roon in the appropriate section.
This is not necessarily a simple change either. It is common for more than one zone to be present. If the specification is changed to auto sleep after Roon Server is started even without any playback, what about all those non-selected zones? Should they auto sleep or not? What if those non-selected zones are playing non-Roon sources? I’m not clear about this, is “selected zone” a concept restricted to the Roon client GUI? What if there is no Roon client GUI running but just the server is restarted?
There is another fatal scenario to consider: the same hardware can exist as different zones (RAAT, AirPlay, etc.) After typing these two paragraphs, I think the behavior you found is a conscious design, not a bug.

I cannot thank you enough for your investigation and accurate assessment of what was happening to my T3X after updates. I agree with your advice, and after playing something it did indeed go into standby mode.
thank you again.
