I have a couple of CSN and CSNY albums that Roon is not adding right. Roon as scanned both of my albums in and created artist entries for “Crosby, Stills and Nash” and “Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young” (as expected). However, as shown in the picture, Roon has added both albums to the CSN view. It correctly added just the “So Far” entry to the CSN artist entry as expected.
To make things very strange, Roon has also created an artist entry for “The Stills” and put a copy of “So Far” under it too. I have nothing by The Stills, never had. This doesn’t belong at all.
I have tried to invoke “Edit” on The Stills entry, and it hangs. The pulsing icon, but it never shows an edit form.
I have tried removing the folders from the library and waiting for the entries to disappear (including the entry for The Stills). I’ve also gone to Setup/Library and triggered a clean up. But it all comes back broken when I add the folders back to the library.
What’s going on, has my database gotten corrupted? I don’t remember having this issue before converting my NAS installation to Docker.

I have found a second issue, when I tried going into Edit on the artist page… On all artists, the page never loads, just “Artist Editor” title and the pulsing icon.
This is a known issue for some time. There is a fix in Early Access. Otherwise, it will appear in an upcoming release.

Thank you for the report and the screenshots.
1. Strange Artist Entries (“The Stills”, etc.) Roon parses local file tags and splits them using delimiters like commas, “and”, or “&”. It aggressively split your “Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young” tags, isolated the word “Stills”, and matched it with the actual Canadian indie rock band “The Stills” from our cloud database.
... → Edit → Identify Album. Matching directly to Roon’s database overrides your local tag delimiters and groups CSN/CSNY correctly.2. The Artist Editor Hanging As @tripleCrotchet noted, the infinite loading spinner is a known bug. A fix is currently active in Early Access and will ship in the next production update.
Let us know if re-identifying the albums resolves the library display on your end.
Thanks for the reply. I’ve taken the two albums and done the edit / identify on both. I both cases the editor shows the expected match was what was in use. I repeated the identify on both anyway and saved.
Did not change anything. Ghost artist is still there. and CSNY still appears under CSN.

Thanks for the update and additional information! From a fresh Roon Server diagnostic report, we can see the key library entry confirms the diagnosis: the “So Far” album internally carries a corrupted/mangled performer list (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Stills, Crosby Bolani, Young, Nash), and the Artist Editor crashes every time it tries to load, due to a malformed image reference.
The “ghost artist” problem is baked into the same album object. Your “So Far” album appears in the library with this internal performer list:
LibraryAlbum[468015, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Stills, Crosby Bolani, Young, Nash - So Far]So it's not just "The Stills" there's also a "Crosby Bolani" and bare "Nash"/"Young" credits attached to that one album. That matches what @tripleCrotchet saw on their side ("The Nash", "Crosby & Nash", etc.).
Luckily we do have a fix in for this issue soon to be released. Once the fix reaches your Server, I’d be curious to see: does re-identifying to a clean match drop the bad credits, or do they regenerate?
If they regenerate, that points back at either the cloud match for this release or your local multi-value tags feeding the splitter, and that’s the part that may still need a closer look on our end.

Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to the release. I know the tags don’t include any of those off-beat artist credits, so hoping the re-identify helps remove whatever cruft is there. Had hoped removing and re-adding the albums were enough.

This is bad data trickling in from AllMusic.
The problem is that Crosby, Stills, and Nash’s Greatest Hits has erroneous performer credits in the AllMusic database for 2000s Montreal rockers The Stills and an electronic group called The Nash.
This is polluting the Artist/Discography page for @Alan_Sparks.
The other data sources are clean. We’ll escalate a correction.
