Playing an old favorite and following along with the lyrics but they appear to have someone’s personal chord notes in between each line of the lyrics. How do I report these to have them fixed? Or can I somehow fix them myself?
If this is a local file, you can use a tag editor and enter the correct lyrics into the file’s LYRICS tag. Roon will show those if you configure Roon Settings > Library > Import Settings > Metadata preferences for tracks > Lyrics > Prefer file.
In any case, you can report it here in the #support:metadata category (but be patient)
Thanks for the help. I prefer not to change the preference for lyrics as it will affect anything I import going forward (I presume) and so far this is the only problem I have encountered. Plus I really don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of tagging my whole collection with lyrics, that’s in part why I am using Roon So I’ll just report via the link you supplied, thanks!
What I do is that none of my files contain lyrics unless I specifically want these lyrics (e.g., because those in Roon are wrong or missing, or I want to add comments or something.)
And the settings say to prefer file.
This way, Roon will use the built-in lyrics unless I put alternatives in the files.
But not caring too much is also a valid and healthy way
@Dennis_Hamilton, reports such as these should be reported under the Support → Metadata category. I have recategorized your post, not sure if this helps your OCD
