Networking Gear & Setup Details

Netgear Nighthawk CM2000 modem. Netgear Orbi RMR850 router with RMS850 Satellite. Spectrum 1Gb service

Connected Audio Devices

Roon on Mac Mini. Music files on Synology DS1618+ with 6 WD 10Tb (I can’t remember the term by which data is stored redundantly to protect against drive crashes) netting about 42Tb available memory.

Number of Tracks in Library

142,448 tracks, 7962 albums

Description of Issue

As shown in screen shots below,

1. In ‘Settings’ ‘Library’ the ‘Analyzing’ doesn’t complete. It stays stuck with 1 or 2 files remaining. Sometimes is shows Analyzing 01/02 or 42/44 or currently 20/22

2. ‘Library maintenance’ shows 23 deleted files. I delete them and it shows 0 files. But them it goes back to 23 files to delete.

3. I keep Roon running all the time and after leaving it running overnight, when I maximize Roon the next morning, I often get the spinning pinwheel of death (Roon not responding). I force close Roon and restart. Later in the evening or the next morning, the pinwheel is back (Roon not responding).

I’ve seen threads re: analyzing not finishing but they have all been closed without showing the resolutio to the problem.
