Description of Issue

Stuck at loading screen since midday, yesterday everything worked just fine. No problems till today, I’m using Roon with RoPieee for several months now. I guess no screenshot needed, roon log file uploaded here - https://we.tl/t-DBlbJWpDaN

Did you have any windows updates? Try going to your graphics manufacturer site not windows update and updating the driver.

Yes, yesterday was some minor windows update, more info can be found here. (unfortunately can’t roll back)

I have AMD Radeon GFX, drivers are up to date, I’m on stable version 21.6.2. (drivers updated yesterday)

Weird thing is, that Roon started one time today, showing no audio devices. I have 2x audio devices on Roon Core and 1x RoPieee as endpoint. I saw similiar issue on forums today, since that I’m stuck on logo screen…

Any ideas?

Windows graphics drivers is my bet, try rolling back the update

I tried install several older versions with “amdcleanuputility” as driver cleaner, nothing changed.
Also i tried unistall all 3x windows updates from 14.7, didnt help either. Well that is…

I’m sorry about the trouble! We’d love to help :nerd_face: (albeit later than we had hoped - sorry about the delay).

What both @ged_hickman1 and @wizardofoz are saying is manually reinstall the graphics drivers. That’s a great step. You would:

  • uninstall the graphics drivers
  • navigate to the manufacturer’s website and download them
  • install them
  • restart your Roon Core
  • launch Roon
