Stuck in setup process with Aurender N200 and MacBook Pro (ref#FN4TOL)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· I'm trying to set up my free trial and am stuck early in the process. I want to use my MacBook Pro, my streamer is an Aurender N200 that I understand is Roon Ready. The install program is scanning for a roon server, which I thought would be the Aurender. Not sure what to do from here.

Tell us about your home network

· Don't know

I’m not an Aurender user but as far as I can find, the N200 works as a Roon Ready endpoint (output device) in the Roon context, not a Roon Server. (Someone correct me if I’m wrong).

In this case, the MacBook would act as a Roon Server. The Roon installer installs both the “Roon” GUI control program and the “Roon Server” background server. So if there is no other Roon Server in the network, you can use the one on the MacBook.

I suppose you see the initial screen where it’s searching for a Roon server and there should be a button saying “Use Roon server on this Mac” or similar. Please post a screenshot of what you are seeing, if it’s not clear.

Thanks for your help! I’m up and running…good first step…lol.
