Stuck in Zones menu on iPhone App

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

Mac Mini (macOS 10.12.6/Roon 1.7 build 710)

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Ethernet and WiFi

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

Squeezebox Touch and various iPhones/iPads. Issue is with one iPhone 12 mini (Roon version 1.7, build 610) but not another.

Description Of Issue

When selecting the Zones menu on the iPhone App on my new iPhone 12 mini the menu becomes full screen, see first screenshot. While it allows me to change the zone I want to control next, I can’t find a way to close the menu. On the identical device of my partner, the familiar edge on the left side of the screen serves to close the menu and return to playback control, see second screenshot.

The only way to resolve this in my case, is to completely shut down the App and restart it. Fortunately, it then starts in the normal view, with the zone changed to the desired one. But it is still a nuisance. I’d normally reinstall the App, but since it is the same version (Roon 1.7, build 610), that doesn’t sound like a solution.

Any ideas?

Found it !!
The display was set to zoomed-in mode. The different sizes of the screenshots gave it away.
The standard display setting is working fine, but for compatibility reasons, I would suggest the App developer to make the interface accommodate this alternative setting (37% less screen real estate).

Hi @Jan_Prummel,

I’m glad you were able to get things up and running correctly! We are currently investigating the zoom mode issues, but I can’t provide any specific timeframes on that just yet. Thanks for the report!
