· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· Hi, I'm trying to install the docker version on my QNAP TS-251A to substitute the old Roon Server

I get stuck minute one on creating the Container Station, a Welcome Page (see attach) will open that is different from the one shown in your tutorial and when I hit Start the /Container folder gets created but the page won't change, I cannot access the page shown in your tutorial at all. I basically get stuck on this page

Tried already to start/stop/reinstall Container Station and nothing...

Firmware vesion is QTS 5.2.9.3451 and should be the latest

Hi @Gianluca_Finistauri,

Thanks for reaching out. Is the behavior the same if you reboot the QNAP? Are there any other options other than /Container in the dropdown? Are you using the latest version of Container Station?

Hi, I tried to reboot and now all worked fine. But after installation the system is quite unstable, remote takes ages to connect to server no view of my music files even if the mapping is correct…
I have no further time now, will see in future if I can fix it or drop it completely

thanks anyway

by the way the log on my installation is full of error messages…

After another full morning I succeded to make it work

  1. I had the remove, reinstall, reboot the Container Station app as it was not working as expected
  2. I had to deauthorize and stop the old Server
  3. I had to “rebuild” the container as there was an error in the folder name I inputed for my songs + it was messing out with spaces in folder names ( now substituted with dashes)
  4. It took a quite long time to connect the first time anyway and to rebuild the library after restore, I let it go for something half an hour

At least now it’s working. Hope we won’t need to tamper again with the container

Random Album super nice feature!
