Stutters, stops playing, skips ahead

I have an issue with Ropieee. When I play music, it sometimes stuttsers, skips ahead and then stops, Sometimes reinstalling Roon Bridge helps. But not always. This just started since the last update.

There’s a huge amount of dropouts being reported by RAAT (Roon). This points to a network connection issue, so I suggest you look there: reset your server, router etc.

Thanks Harry, I rebooted the router and all appears to be well. I’m using a Zero 2W so my expectations are a bit low. I do have a 3b with ethernet in case this is ongoing.

Does the Plugable USB 2.0 OTG Micro-B to 10/100 Ethernet Adapter work with Ropieee?

Same network errors in Roon/RAAT logging.
About the adapter: don’t know the device, but you can easily try. In general I would expect it to work.

Yep, it works. May swith since I seem to be having network errors with Wifi. Odd though, the Pi Zero 2W is just a foot away from the AP.

That could be the problem. The signal strength could be overwhelming the receiver. Try moving it 10 ft. away.

Unfortunately that’s not possible, but I did switch to ethernet. Best.Connection.Ever.
