can I install a Samsung 980 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD 2TB into a Nucleus type b server?
can I install a Samsung 980 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD 2TB into a Nucleus type b server?
No, because AFAIK, there is just the one M.2 socket on the motherboard - and this is being used for the M.2 SSD holding the Roon OS and the Roon software.
You can install a 2.5" SSD (or HDD) internally using the SATA connection on the motherboard. The drive should not be more than 15mm thick for a Nucleus Rev. B device.
And keep in mind some SSD dissipate quite some heat. Just saying as it’s a passively cooled enclosure.
Thanks guys…your answers are just what I needed.
I decided to go with a 2tb Samsung 870 EVO SATA lll 2.5 inch SSD
