Support for embedded lyrics in Roon ARC

Feature Request: Support displaying lyrics embedded in tags of synced files in Roon ARC.

Description: Roon supports importing lyrics from file tags, but it seems that ARC needs a connection to the server in order to fetch lyrics (see here); when using ARC in offline/airplane mode, it’s impossible to display lyrics to any song.
In this scenario, it would be great if ARC could display lyrics embedded in the files itself and, in the event of both synced and unsynced lyrics being present, allow the user to choose which one to display by default.

Currently available alternatives:

  1. Use a separate app for downloading and then displaying lyrics while in offline mode
Pros: it achieves the desired result, lyrics can be saved on device for future use
Cons: it’s cumbersome - requiring the user to manually download lyrics every time before going offline, also does not pair well with the Smart Download feature since the user doesn’t know beforehand what will be synced to your device
  2. Use a completely different stack to sync and play music on your device
Pros: it achieves the desired result
Cons: requires additional apps (i.e. Syncthing) or steps (manual copy of files to device): and a separate music player, losing all the other advantages of ARC

Personal consideration:
Alternative 2 is what I’ve been doing for the last decade; since when I started using Roon 9 months ago, I have tried to use ARC increasingly more but I always find myself going back to the old ways whenever I have to travel or be in a place with spotty internet connection.

Bumping (1)

Is it possible that in 3+ months nobody from the Roon team cares to give an official reply on this?
I’m starting to regret buying a lifetime subscription considering the presence of this issue (which unfortunately I have not discovered in my trial period) and the lack of interest from Roon team to engage on a feature request.

The Roon team nearly never comments on / commits to feature suggestions. They sometimes did in the past and it only led to angry users if priorities changed. (That’s not much different to any other consumer software company).

There are only 2 votes for this. Other feature suggestions have hundreds of votes, so don’t hold your breath.

While I don’t expect a developer to reply directly, having someone acting as a bridge between the developers and the community to make sure these requests don’t get ignored would be sufficient enough to me.
I’d be even happy to receive a refusal at this point rather than being left in a limbo.
The more I go through this forum, the more it seems that Roon developers don’t really care about bugs and feature requests.
