I have a Macbook Pro Retina 2013 running OS X Sierra 10.12.5 and I had Roon software installed on it as my core. I migrated all of the contents and applications of the Macbook Pro to a new iMac and made that computer my new Roon core. Now, I cannot find a way to make the Macbook Pro Roon function as a remote device. I’ve tried entering the IP address and having that scanned with no luck. I’ve re-started both computers. The Roon core is set to accept remotes. Both computers are operating on the same network; in fact, they’re both in the same room.
Can someone help me? Perhaps the easiest thing would be to delete the Macbook Pro Roon software and re-download it. I’m a lifetime member, though, and not sure how many devices you can have as remotes running Roon software – ?? Is there a limit to the number of times you can download Roon software?
Thanks in advance.
