SWMBO posts

(<!-- RANT ON

:exploding_head:
Please ignore my post if you feel insulted, somehow.
It’s not my original intention to agitate, but I just have to air a thought that always comes up when reading SHMBO posts with confirming reactions.
:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I do know, that most of such posts are more tongue in cheek than not.
But, in conjunction with boasting about personal, secret bank accounts, this seems to be indicative of relationships that lack trust, openness and transparent partnership.
:warning:
I feel, that not speaking up when encountering public commentary, containing divisive, disparaging, black and white statements, missing nuance, consideration and empathy, leads to the ever stronger erosion of a considerate, inclusive, deescalating moral to make the world a better place.
:butterfly:
It’s like with that saying about the butterfly in china …
:peace_symbol:
And, I have to admit that I’m not always an angel myself.

@Marin_Weigel thank you, you just reminded me to move some money to my offshore secret bank account :+1::wink:

Some of us definitely use the SWMBO as tongue-in-cheek, but there is a certain degree of women folk not understanding our needs.

My lovely wife sees me bringing home new CDs/records daily and occasionally some new boxes appear. She chooses not to know how much. If and when she asks, I tell her “do you really want to know?”. She generally walks out of the room with a disapproving shaking of the head.

She has her hair done once a month or so and that’s a fair bit of money down the drain. My purchases are future investments.

I don’t think it is a rant, I echo everything you have said on this topic. Sadly misogyny exists and even though I am sure many posters are solid citizens, not everyone is, and we must try not to add to any reinforcement of sexist views.

What, exactly, is it you want to tell me?
