System for a 10'x10' room

Apologies if this is already discussed somewhere (link please?) but I’m looking at converting a spare bedroom (10’x10’) into a music/movie room. I can go up to about 5k on audio gear but I don’t want to spend money that’d be wasted by the small room size. I’m thinking the kef ls50w is the easy way to go. Thoughts or advice would be welcome and appreciated.

Small rear ported speakers did not work in my room as they have to couple with the room to get bass. A larger front ported monitor was a lot better. I ended up with ten inch Tannoy DC’s.

Square rooms are the toughest to get good sound.

Get the powered Kef50’s and you can easily control the sound thru DSP and the apps, adjusting it for the room
If you want to add a sub for movies, it will also enable you to integrate the sub with the speakers.
You will spend much less than $5K and it will sound great.

There are better guides out there. I know I bookmarked them somewhere and now I can’t find where.
Until then —
