When roon scans your music files (AIFF format) and adds its metadata does that metadata stay with the file or is it embedded into the file? So if you copied an album and read it with a JRiver Media Center build the new metadata would be present? I use both roon- personal listening and JRiver for my DJ Server and would be able to keep the tagging details consistent. Thanks for your time.
The metadata is written to Roon’s database, your files are not modified. You can export metadata from Roon, but writing it to tags is another matter altogether.
Got Ya, I had a feeling that’s how they’d handle it but figured that it was worth asking. Exporting and editing the tags would take a lifetime and I’m running out of time!
