Tags in ARC: why is so slow and complicated?

I am experiencing a daily issue when using ARC on the road (though it works perfectly with Tailscale) and trying to choose or change tags or to switch to albums.

The app gets stuck on a frozen screen that displays “Focus on tags | Reset” along with my tag list. It is almost impossible to get an immediate response. Tapping on the tags or the “Reset” button yields zero reaction. When my selection finally registers, it takes up to a full minute to load.

We love Roon and ARC! Could this performance issue please be improved?

How many tracks in your library and how many tags? And I suppose it would be useful to know the max number of tracks in a tag.

38 tags. One tag 174 records. Another 75. Two or three tags 30/50 records and the rest 1 to 15 records, approximately. I don’t know exactly how many tracks on each of those records.

Total tracks in my Roon library (Qobuz/Tidal/local files) is 291588 tracks, 18667 albums.

Rock server, 16 ram.

300,000 tracks would be the reason I’d think. If you search the forum ARC doesn’t scale to those numbers.
