There is a Atmos version on Tidal.
I’m a big fan of Atmos but for this recording I prefer the Stereo version.

Can you no longer like an album in Qobuz and have it show up in Roon after manually syncing library?
This certainly used to work?

FYI everyone, Qobuz only received the release today. Consequently, the single will not be streamable from Qobuz via Roon today. Perhaps tomorrow, but it’s likely that it will be Sunday.
Patience is a virtue @Sloop_John_B Probably takes a couple of days.
Agreed it used to work but not anymore
Only works if it’s in the db all ready this isn’t yet. Sync takes time it’s not instant and never has been.
Yes. “In the db” and “indexed for search” are different things.
Anyway, the Qobuz versions are now in the db and streamable in Roon.
does anyone else find the mix too loud? Roon waveform shows max levels throughout and it all sounds too much like compression to me. To be clear I have listened to streaming versions on Tidal and Qobuz and now have th Qobuz downloaded versions - they all sound too loud to me.
Spot on with your words @jamie
I’ve just had this on repeat for a few times. Beautiful.
@Ciaran_Henry the dynamic range is a little low, but I feel it needs to be. It suits the track. Makes if feel more dynamic & dramatic to me.
Anthologies & Now and Then The Beatles - Anthologies & Now and Then on TIDAL
I have listened several times on Amazon Music, apparently an Atmos-stereo downmix. The lyrics are nice, and it is great to hear Lennon sing again. Harrison’s guitar work is crisp and melodic.
However, to me, the track seems over produced. There are too many backing instruments or they are doing too much. It feels over-orchestrated. This effect is more pronounced via headphones than on speakers. My Sennheiser HD 660-S cans are quite resolving.
I’ll chase down a straight stereo mix via Qobuz and Roon later.
I’d be curious to hear a “Naked” version. It does sound a bit congested to me.
On Tidal I found the stereo mix to sound better than the Atmos mix. I’m a hugh fan of Atmos and the other recent Beatle Atmos releases were outstanding but not this one.

I had exactly the same thought
It’s by Ed Ruscha. Kind of fitting. Insanely talented, prolific, and influential artist. This cover is typical Ruscha, but compared to his other work, not particularly impressive.
I’m struggling to get past the brilliantly extracted, but poor quality vocal recording. I think that Rick Beato nailed it in his conclusion. YMMV.
I saw that video. He has a good take on it.
Did you notice how many views on You Tube for the Now and Then Official Video is up to? The Video has 21 million views and the Official Audio has 6.5 million views.

For sentimental reasons I really liked the film that accompanied the song. The song is nice, but just nice, in my opinion.
Mary McCartney was on a UK tv show a few nights ago, promoting her new cook book. She let us in on the fact that Ringo is allergic to both onions and garlic! Cool story Bro
A living Hell, that.
Indeed!
Without wanting to derail this topic, I’ll leave it with this.
