Another check mark on the bucket list:
A pre-loved Lyra Kleos installed on the SME 312S, on the DrFeickert Blackbird. Previous owner flagged that it was a bit noisy and my pics showed what looked like a slightly assymetrical diamond, but i didn’t see any major signs of wear:
When the needle dropped onto the first album itwas quiet, dead quiet! So quiet as one could suspect something was amiss, and it was. The DIN connector had popped out, from the connector on the SME arm! I plugged it back in, on the CardasGolden Cross balanced tone arm cable again and yei! Music!
The Kleos showed right away that it has got one of the absolutely best channel separations in the business with a huge stage with every performer (or effect) clearly defined in it’s own space.
And about the vinyl noise and pops, nowhere to be heard. As quiet as the best!
A lovely cart in all aspects, it only shows a little age with increased distorsion towards the end of the record. Not disturbingly much, just a hint.
I had the Third Ball but think it might be gone now because it was quite noisy. I loved the Gilmour guitar in “Running Up That Hill”!
I have a Kleos as well as my umami red
So, I have an album with a completely mangled cover that I’ve never played. Decided to look into which version it was and it turns out it is a second pressing from 1976 of Japanese pressing of Led Zepplin’s “Physical Graffitti”.

I have more than a few vinyls with badly damaged covers, mostly from the early 80s (and some where the cover’s were just lost by friends ).
It would be good to know that you could replace the damaged cover’s at a reasonable cost.
Never looked into it though
(And I played my CD rip of this album this morning)
I think there is an error, either on the Discogs info or on that Japanese pressing.
Ian Stewart and Mrs Valens are credited on ‘Boogie With Stu’ which is track D3, not C3.
My copy is an original UK 1975 pressing, but not one of the rare 1/4/1/1 first presses.

Color me stoked! My imusic.dk order has arrived. Three Cardigans and one first pressing of Kælan Mikla - Undir Köldum Nordurljosum. Saving them for the weekend.
Oh, Gran Turismo is the soundtrack to a few years of my life!
I might need to get in on vinyl!
Do you like “Kent” also? Joakim Berg, primary force in “Kent” was highly involved in the making of Gran Turismo.
I am not familiar with Kent! Where should I start?
Though their material is written for swedish language, i’d still recommend to try Vapen & Ammunition:
Thank you! And I don’t mind listening to music in its native language. I love the sound of Dina Ögon and don’t even wish to imagine what it would sound like in English. It would lose its charm for me.
Enjoying some vinyl while sat in the conservatory today. Cut the grass and tidied up so I have earned a break
endorsed.

Brand Spankin New:
