Hmmm, if it’s hip-hop they’re talking about, it should, above all else, be lo-volume…

Not an expert, but I think it’s more like elevator music. Unthreatening. Something with a heartbeat to it, which people find reassuring.
I didn’t know this had a ‘new’ genre tag…but I like what I’ve been listening to on that video.
I’d just call it ‘beats’.
