There’s nothing like a good CD and horn

Upgraded my TD-2001 to TD-4001 with a “little” e-lmlc 300 horn… bulding a new bass cabinet. Best sound ever in my room

CX at 600hz. 2 way rules the world

Duh. PBN 2!5 here.

Hello. Out of curiosity, what is the opening at the bottom of the bass enclosure? It seems like an enclosure with a tweeter, but upside down.

It is what it seems… i just added a 4001 on top and put it upside down. I’ll make a diy bass cabinet soon

I am still confused about this: you have a tweeter on top behind the horn and another one on the bottom?

No sorry, i replaced one for another. Still have the bottom horn without driver.

Wow, when you CAN this is really good.

That’s what a lot of people say… But there are not many CDs able to reach from 600 to 20k with such a low distortion and linearity. TAD TD-4001 are such a wonderful creation. Also active filtering make the job quite easy

Those are 10cm beryllium drivers! It will be hard to find a large woofer with low distortion. Only a particular 15” Celestion might cope up with that, but I am not sure it will go down below 40 Hz.
