"There was an issue loading your database" message

Recently upgraded to Roon 1.3 and my last shut down may have been uncontrolled (went out and left everything on - MacBook was operating on battery power, external drive didn’t eject properly - oops!).
MacBook Air 13" (mid 2013)
4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
External GDrive 1TB

Looks like a lot of folks are having this issue!
