[Ticket in] ARC B270 Keeps iPhone awake when in foreground

Nooo, it’s not fixed, or not completely. Could you reopen the thread? Sorry. But now I found out what’s the difference, at least right now (not sure if it was always like this):

• If ARC is in the foreground and the phone is in Airplane Mode, then the phone goes to sleep as expected. (When I wrote that it’s fixed, I had just come off a plane )
• If the phone is not in Airplane Mode, then the foreground ARC prevents the phone from sleeping

Just confirming this is still an issue with latest ARC build 1.64.347 on iOS 18.4. If ARC is in foreground screen does not sleep.

Hmmm, I just tried several times and it seems to work for me, also still with B347, now on iOS 18.4.

Edit: and also with B352 on a few different ARC screens

I have the lock screen function on. My guess is that may be causing the screen lock from coming on.

Which one? iOS > System Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock? I have that on too, at 30 seconds, and I always had that. (I’m pretty sure that I haven’t changed any other significant system settings since)

If you suspect this to be the culprit, you could turn it off for a quick test and see if it changes anything

Sorry I wasn’t clear. I have the lockscreen control function on Roon app on but that really shouldn’t affect Roon ARC app. My iPhone lockscreen is set to 30 secs.

Indeed it shouldn’t have an effect, and I have that on in the Roon app as well

A little update on this, if ARC is charging like when using with carplay the iPhone will go to sleep as set, e.g. after 30 secs. if using ARC in foreground on iPhone with just battery (not charging) then the iPhone does not go into sleep mode.
