My Mac Studio (Apollo Solo, Genelec 8010) is not visible in the Audio section after updating to B1643. It’s showing up under Other network devices through AirPlay 2, however I cannot select direct playback anymore (it was an existing zone before the update). I’ve restarted my Roon ROCK to no avail.
I should add that all my other zones (both Roon Ready and Tested) are showing up as usual.
Hello @Cudifying !
Thanks for reporting.
To investigate the issue deeper, could you please do the following:
Open the Console app. You’ll see the system.log on the left. Right-click it and select Reveal in Finder. This will open the Finder window, which will contain the system.log file. Please share it with us.
Also, please check the Crash Reports section to see if there is any information about the RAATServer on the day you noticed the problem.
If you have those, could you please upload them here
I’ve submitted the requested system.log file. I’ve also included two RAATServer crash reports that occurred right after the TestFlightServiceExtension event. Though I don’t know if anything particular happened in those. Hope that helps.
This morning I noticed that my MacBook does not show up in audio devices in Roon. ROCK and Roon on my Mac are on the latest early access version. iPhone ist correctly showing up, though.
Same for me, on a MacBook Air M4
Interesting the ALSA drivers on the Intel NUC running ROCK are back.
Anyway of turning those off, as my ROCK server is just that, squirrelled away with the NAS units, on the network but no playback device will be plugged in to the USB or HDMI ports.
Thanks again for all the reports, logs, and patience here.
We’ve just shipped a resolution for this in the latest Early Access release, Roon 2.63 build 1644.
This took longer to resolve than we wanted. The issue ended up being tied to our .NET 10 migration and was not a straightforward one to diagnose and address, but it is now live in Early Access.
Appreciate everyone sticking with us while we worked through it.
Just checked and it’s all working again, thanks for the quick turnaround. On another note; you don’t really know what you’ve got till it’s gone. I had to spend the last few days using a combination of YouTube and other sources for music on my desktop. Hopefully never again!
