[Ticket In, Fixed] B1536 Play counts not updated

It’s probably partly related to this other issue

https://community.roonlabs.com/t/ticket-in-rock-server-2-49-build-1520-ignoring-at-least-roonalbumtag-see-below/296848/8

but with the latest build the play count is not updated when a track has been played (even though it’s in “History”).
Again the only solution is a restart of Roon. However, removing a track from History immediately reflects on the count with a decrease

Same issue here.

Hi, @Daniele_Piancastelli, thank you for the post, we are looking into this issue.

Thanks!

Ivan

Same here, ROCK, macOS, iPad

Look at the same album now, 13 hours later, and the play counts from yesterday have updated.

However, then I played it once more and the new play count is not being updated again. Restarting the client doesn’t update it either.

Maybe there is some kind of delay?

Or some automatic process that triggers the update.
I also tested restarting the client and it doesn’t update play count. Only restarting the server does this

I might have restarted ROCK but I can’t remember for sure :man_white_haired: and I don’t think so :man_shrugging:

I amassed a bunch of plays during the day for 10 hours while I was not home, and they didn’t update the play count during that time.

Then I restarted only the Roon Server process and that did it.

I’m also having this problem, but I only noticed it because all my “Listen Later” albums were missing. When I restarted to see if this fixed it (it did), the play counts were not updating. A second reboot fixed this and moved “Listen Later” albums to “played”. On this latest reboot, I’ll keep an eye on the play counts and whether the “Listen Later” albums are marked as played or not (without another reboot)…

Fixed for me with B1537, thank you for the quick turnaround!
