There seems to have been a regression in the UI at some point. I’ve just noticed that Unidentified albums are no longer showing the “Unidentified” tag on their album pages. For example:
I’m wondering if this is connected to the fixing of a previous regression. I can now “share” unidentified albums which I couldn’t do before. That’s the fix. Perhaps the fix has introduced a new regression. That being said, my Un-id albums still have the tag.
I can Focus on Unidentified albums and still see them that way. However, if I go to an Album, and then from the album page select Edit and then “Re-Identify album” nothing happens; no pop up, etc.
This exact bug that was reported on the early access version about 19 days ago still exists with today’s final release of Roon 2.62 - and it is unfortunately rather annoying. It is also not consistent: When focusing on “unidentified albums” on “My Albums” and clicking on the various album pages, some show the “unidentified” tag including the hyperlink (where one can easily check whether metadata has been added to the database, especially for recent releases), but most albums DO NOT SHOW the “unidentified” tag. It would be highly welcome if @Roon_Moderators could take a look and reported the bug to the developers so the previous functionality can be restored as soon as possible with a bug fixing release. Thank you. @Geoff_Coupe did you get any feedback from the developers on your initial post? Because it seems nothing happened following your discovery. @vova could you please take a look? Thanks.
Roon and ARC production releases are scheduled to ship approximately every 2 weeks with earlyaccess testing for each of those releases happening in the 10 days immediately prior.
Note that the release schedule now seems to be monthly, but I’m assuming the 10 day gap between an EA release and the corresponding Production release remains the same.
