· When playing Tidal 24/88 content in Roon on KEF LSX II LT speakers via Chromcast, it keeps skipping to the next track part way through the current track.

Thanks for the details. Skipping partway through a TIDAL track on Chromecast points us toward playback stability on that path, and I’d like to narrow down whether it is specific to Chromecast, the KEF endpoint, or the track stream itself.
To get a clearer picture, a few things would help:
Does this happen with every TIDAL 24/88 track, or only certain albums or tracks?
Can you try the same track on a different Roon output zone and let us know whether it plays through normally there?
When this happens, does the track skip at roughly the same point each time, or does it vary?
We’d also like to look at diagnostics around one of these events. We will enable them on your account, and the next time it happens, please note the exact local time, date, and track playing, then reply here with that information so we can review the logs around it.
If you can include the exact TIDAL album or track name that’s doing it, that will help us a lot.
I havent yet tried other albums, the latest incident was on the last track of an album (Contact - Random Access Memories) at approx 1:43 PM NZST. It didn’t skip in this case, it stopped, I guess as it was the last track, but it could have skipped to Roon Radio I suppose, but maybe the Roon Radio process hadn’t begun yet.
The same album always plays 100% fine via RAAT in my other zone.
The skipping is highly variable, can be at any point of any track, sometimes it’s quite often. In the latest case it didn’t happen until the last track of the album.
Would you kindly give it a try and Disable Volume Normalization on the Bedroom Cast zone. In Roon: Settings → Audio → click the zone settings icon for “Bedroom Cast” → Volume Leveling. Turn it off and test whether the skipping stops.
Thanks for sending over the logs. We’ve enabled diagnostics and we’re seeing an INVALID_MEDIA_SESSION_ID error at that timestamp.
We have seen a similar ticket in the queue, so we’re escalating this to our team to confirm whether it’s the same issue. We’ll get back to you as soon as we hear more.
Hi @vadim thanks for following up. I can confirm the issue remains and it occurred with vol normalization disabled, at 2:23PM NZST it skipped ahead a track from Giorgio by Moroder.
