Describe the issue

I cannot add new albums. Whenever I do, I get taken to a mostly blank screen that just says "Album has been deleted." This has been happening for about a week now. I've tried logging out and back in (both Roon and Tidal). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've tried rebooting the Roon server. No luck. The only workaround I have discovered is to add individual tracks from an album, but this is not a sustainable or desirable long-term solution.

Describe the issue

My Roon library has lost all Tidal links yet I can still play Tidal in Roon.

Describe your network setup

AT&T fiber

There should be over 2100 linked Tidal albums in my Roon library. This happened on all three of my Roon servers (Roon Nucleus, Apple MacMini, and Dell XPS 15 laptop). I have rebooted my AT&T router and all devices. I’m on latest Early Access.

Problem is obviously at Roon Labs or Tidal.

Hi @Jesus_Costantino,

Thank you for the report. @Geoff_Coupe is correct that Tidal will delete albums above a hard limit of around 10,000 album limit. That said, your symptoms resemble a bug the team is actively investigating here: Qobuz albums missing from library but present in My Qobuz [Ticket In] - #91

Please keep an eye on the thread linked above, where we’ll post updates as the fix progresses through the pipeline and into an upcoming Roon release.

I restored a recent backup to get the Tidal albums back. They quickly were deleted again within less than a minute.

Hi everyone,

We’ve merged reports of this issue into a single tracking thread. For clarity, the symptoms resemble those reported here: Qobuz albums missing from library but present in My Qobuz [Ticket In], but in this case it’s Tidal albums affected.

The issues have distinct but related underlying causes and development has tickets tracking each respectively. You can expect a resolution in an upcoming Roon release. Thank you for your patience in the meantime.

User error, I think. In clearing out and deleting my Soundiz account last night, I accidently let Soundiz delete all my Tidal albums and playlist in Tidal. Then, evidently, Tidal synced with Roon and deleted them from Roon.

This is not the end of the world since I have an almost identical Roon library of Qobuz albums in Roon. I’m just trying to figure out how to use Soundiz, before it goes away, to copy my Qobuz albums to Tidal.

I have really screwed myself. I let Soundiz delete all my favorites in Tidal and Qobuz. For some reason, the links to Qobuz still show and play in the Roon library, but not in Qobuz, weird. I can’t use Soundiz to restore Tidal from Qobuz or Qobuz from Tidal because neither service has the favorites. Both services say they cannot restore them.

So now, while I can still see the Qobuz links in Roon, I am going through 2100 albums manually and clicking on versions to link back in Tidal. I’m not sure where to go from there.

EDIT: I’m through the A’s. When I finish added back in 2100 Tidal links, I’ll use Soundiz to copy from Tidal to Qobuz to restore the links in Qobuz. What a mess I have created.

EDIT: Well, now I’m truly screwed. I just lost all my Qobuz links in Roon. So all I have left in my Roon library are 107 Tidal links I just added back in and 7 local albums. I have the same 107 albums in the Tidal app and 67 in Qobuz. This is out of over 4000 I had.

EDIT: I found that my Dell Roon server still contained all the Qobuz links, so I shut down my Nucleus and Mac Mini and am in the process of going album by album to Versions and adding the Tidal version. Then, I use Soundiz to transfer from Tidal to Qobuz to restore the favorites in Qobuz. When I finish, I’ll sync all three Roon servers with Tidal and Qobuz and, hopefully, be back to where I was before I screwed myself.

EDIT: I have my Dell Roon library fully restored and both Tidal and Qobuz favorites reestablished. Next step will be to start my Nucleus and Mac Mini and see if they will sync properly with Tidal and Qobuz and restore their Roon libraries. What a nightmare (literally) this has been. This is all my doing, not a Roon problem.

HELP NEEDED:

At this point, I have my Mac Mini and Dell laptop Roon servers fully restored. Since all my Tidal and Qobuz favorites got accidently deleted by Soundiz (my fault), I entered the Tidal albums manually and used Soundiz to transfer them to Qobuz, so they may not be identified in Roon as they previously were. I don’t know how Roon does that.

Anyway, the only remaining problem is getting my Nucleus to fully sync with Tidal and Qobuz. My Mac Mini did the sync with no problems. Can anyone here or from Roon Support give me some advice on how to get the Nucleus to fully sync with Tidal and Qobuz? Thanks.

Roon Nucleus:

Dell XPS 15 (Windows 11)

Mac Mini (late 2014)

EDIT: I keep adding these edits because the forum will not let you post more than 3 consecutive posts. Anyway, I did a restore from my Dell backup to my Nucleus and as of now, have my Tidal and Qobuz albums in my Nucleus Roon library. Fingers crossed that they stay there. I just need to set up my audio outputs.

Roon Moderators, I’m done with this support request that got merged here. Feel free to “unmerge” and close it down please. Thanks.
