· Two TIDAL albums have completely disappeared from my roon library. If I add them to a playlist in TIDAL, I can see and play them in the TIDAL playlist folder in roon, but the artwork is a blank box, and clicking on the album title leads me to a page that says "album not found," and I am unable to re-add the album to my library. Restarting my server and logging in/out of TIDAL did not solve the issue.
What is the file format of the album in your actual Tidal account? Tidal has multiple versions of this double album available in separate format qualities. We see Roon’s Playlist Improver spinning on the playlist from your screenshot as it attempts to find a higher quality version of the available content from Tidal.
Around the same time, requests to Roon’s image servers time out without response. The artwork isn’t downloading before the request times out, possibly because the image URLs are failing to resolve on first pass.
I’d double-check that a reliable DNS service is assigned in the router settings page (we recommend Cloudflare, 1.1.1.1.).
Can you share a screenshot of the album page itself in Roon?
None of the versions are available in roon so i’m not sure. Going to the artist’s page, all of their albums are listed except this one. Going to the album page from the playlist gives me this:

Here’s what’s actually happening. Both albums are in your TIDAL favorites and Roon knows their TIDAL IDs. But when Roon asks our metadata service for the album details, nothing comes back:

GET /1/albums/166:0:519958842/credits → 404
Without those details Roon can’t build the album page, that’s the “album not found” you’re hitting. The artwork is the same story: the cover request returns a 404 in under 100 ms rather than timing out, which is why the tile sits blank. This repeated identically across all 123 times you opened the album, before and after each restart and after the DNS change. That consistency is what tells us it isn’t anything on your side.
It appears that Midnight Sun and Midnight Sun: Girls Trip are both dated for September 4th, which is odd. TIDAL already lets you favorite them and stream the tracks that are out, but the albums themselves aren’t released yet, so they haven’t come through into Roon’s metadata catalog. That’s why they behave like ghosts, playable from the playlist, but with no album page behind them.
Can you check back on September 4th to see if they sync properly? We’ll chat with the team on this as well, because both albums look to be actually released in 2026 and May of 2026, respectively.
Albums popped right up into my library this evening. Release date was indeed set to today (sept 4), even though one came out in May and the other last September. Strange, but glad they’ve returned!
